So, I'm supposed to do evaluating of the installation procedures of different collaboration/cms software for the university I attend and work at. Someone said they had seen something called "sign in"(Found it, obviously) and that I should check it out. I'm literate but not experienced, but I decided to try my hand at getting cyn.in setup locally and giving it a test run. I don't have a spare PC for a server using the CE Appliance so I installed VirtualBox, told it I was running Ubuntu, mounted the .iso on a virtual drive and installed the software as per the tutorial. It boots and I'm greeted with the linux command prompt and can sign in as root, however trying to access the web interface nets me nothing. I'm not sure where the problem lies, whether it's win7 and virtualbox or something I messed up with the cyn.in installation. Any pointers to the right direction would be great.

When using the "WebDAV support" link, I get a wrong URL. It says

When using the "WebDAV support" link, I get a wrong URL. It says
"http://www.sitename.com/[…]/site"
but should be
"http://www.sitename.com:1960/intranet/site".
Is this due to Apache proxy rewriting? It's otherwise set up properly.

Manage Portlets - Member Security Settings Problem.

Manage Portlets - Member Security Settings Problem.
I'm just about ready to start tearing my hair out - any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
I am using Cyn.in to create a collab portal for a dozen or so different organizations (they are all in the same industry, and are looking to share resources).
I have created 2 member groups for the first organizations to start testing - I'll call them group A and group B. Group B should only be able to only add/edit their own space, but can view content from both group A and B. Group A can do whatever they want, as they are the owners of the portal.
I created a test user account for group B. When I log in with a Group B account (member role), everything is fine until I get to group B's space. When I click on their space, I see the 'Manage Portlets' option available, as well as the Manage Space tab, with the ability to customize the space, and set the share settings. This is something only the site admins should be in control of. I played with every combination I could thing of in the group and role settings, and I can't figure out how to remove these permissions.
The main confusion is - what is the difference between edit and review? I can't find anything online.
Frustrated, I went into the Zope "/manage" area, and changed the security settings for Portlets:
Manage own portlets - checked managers
Portlets: Manage portlets - checked managers
Manage users - checked managers
Sharing page: Delegate roles - checked managers
It seems to have done nothing.... is anyone able to point me in the right direction for this? Thanks!!!

Background? Hello Everyone,

Background? Hello Everyone,
I am new to Cyn.in and had a question about changing the background color and image. The layout is perfect, but changing a few superficial styles will help Cyn.in match the front end of the website we have developed. I have extensive knowledge of CSS, and am comfortable with jQuery/Themeroller - no issue there, but I can't seem to find where the styles applying to the background and/or body are located. I'm thinking maybe I am overlooking something?
Thank-you,

How change the default redirect to login behavior to instead show the Home screen to anonymous user for cyn.in 2.1-1dev?

How change the default redirect to login behavior to instead show the Home screen to anonymous user for cyn.in 2.1-1dev?
My cyn.in Version Overview
* cyn.in 2.1-1dev
* Plone 3.1.6
* CMF 2.1.1
* Zope (Zope 2.10.6-final, python 2.4.5, linux2)
* Python 2.4.5 (#2, Jul 22 2009, 13:52:04) [GCC 4.3.2]
* PIL 1.1.6
The default Workflow
* ubify_publish_keep_private (Publish to Authenticated OR Keep Private)
As I understand I must add permissions to the anonymous role in the state "public" of this workflow so they can access to the site as anonymous visitors without having to log in to access content
Then check the "View" and "Access contents information" Permissions and later go to "Update security settings" on "Plone Workflow Tool at /cynin/portal_workflow" and wait... and not happens nothing :(
Can help me please?
See you around :D
