I'm getting stuck in the install with the following error:

While:
Installing.
Getting section maildrophost.
Initializing section maildrophost.
Getting option maildrophost:MAILDROP_USER.
Error: Referenced option does not exist: instance effective-user
--

I did set a user in user.cfg as per the readme. This is on Centos5 with all the required packages installed. Any ideas how I can move past this? Or does it really only work on Ubuntu (which would be a bummer since a large majority of servers are RHEL or CentOS)?

gallo Hi everybody!
I'm new to cyn.in but in the short time I have used I came to love it. But I need some help regards visualization. Its possible to remove the footer and the desktop install tool from the left pane?

gogobd Is there a way to change the default of "enable comments" somewhere in a space or the whole site? I'd like it to be off by default and on just on demand... Is that possible with cyn.in as it is?

dedisoft Hi,

I'm searching for a complete knowledge management solution.

But I need my customers having read only access to the content. I'd like to create some profiles (or ACL) to define which customer can read this page or this group of page or not.

And if I can define a date to date access, this will be great for me.

Can Cyn.in help me for this ? is this possible with this product ?

deadlines Error accessing user's Group Membership tab. I'm running Cyn.in 3.1.3 community edition (appliance), MSAD LDAP integration is enabled and seems to be working for the most part. Unfortunately whenever I attempt to access the Group Memberships tab for a user, an error is being thrown. Traceback details here: http://pastie.org/1320768

knylander Is it possible to import an existing MediaWiki site content into Cyn.in? I have an existing MediaWiki site with several hundred pages that I'm interested in importing to Cyn.in (preferably without copying and pasting). Has anyone done this? If so, what method did you use?

rick_t Plone add-ons

Sorry if this post is in the wrong space but I was hoping there's a non-developer solution to this :)

Basically, there's one particular Plone add-on for dropdown menus (http://plone.org/products/webcouturier-dropdownmenu) that I think is really nifty. Is it possible to add this (and other) Plone product to a Cyn.in instance (created via the software appliance method) via a buildout or other means ? Thank you.

I need to add some im messenger to my cynin.
I had installed ejabberd server and I'm trying to add iJab on main_template.pt.

But I'm having some issues... when I invoke iJab javascript from his folder, it seems that isn't found.

I have something like that:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="ijab_config.js"></script> ---> it's found
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="ijab_i18n_en.js"></script> ----> it's found
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="ijab/ijab.nocache.js"></script> ----> it's not found

And yes... I have file and folder in write place.
Do you have any ideas?

hainesy82 I live in Portugal but can't change language to English. I can change it to any other language, but as soon as I set it to English it defaults back to Portuguese.

edith What is technically the difference between a blog and a wiki page? I think they are exactly the same, only the usage is different. Is that right? Will it be clear for the users what to use?

bblier Just starting out with getting Cyn.In up and running on CentOS 5... So far so good, but I do have a couple questions:

1. When the Spaces are displayed in the left bar menu, why do those seem to be sorted arbitrarily? I would really like those to be alphabetical but have found no way or documentation on how to accomplish that.
2. I'm learning the quirks (very quickly) of having one flat file as your "everything" database. One of those quirks bothered me to the point where I had to ask this: Is it normal for your Data.fs file to grow by 400K when the Zope daemon is stopped then started again? I imagine some of that is logging but do I have ultra-verbosity enabled or something that I can dial back so my Data.fs file isn't growing wildly out of control?

davis How can I unlock a Space? I can't seem to move/delete it.

The FAQ says to click "edit" on the item and then unlock.... There's no unlock option in the Edit workspace function (Logged in as siteadmin).

gritsak Cyn.In desktop client showing wrong timestamp on posts. Checking site shows correct timestamp. Timezone is the same on desktop and Cyn.In server.
