Hi,
a stupid question!!
I have just successfully installed the Community Edition (virtual machine). I know that the virtual machine has no GUI and I have to access the appliance from the host by typing:
http://<your site domain OR IP Address>/
or:
https://<your site domain OR IP Address>:10000/
The stupid question is: how do I get the IP Address for the virtual machine? I have tried the ipconfig values for the LAN addresses assigned to the virtual machine but it does not work.
I am just missing the last little step.. logging in onto the Appliance UI

cool; it is working. Please consider adding a note to the Installation guide of the Community Edition version 3 mentioning how to resolve the IP Address of the virtual machine.

I still couldnt find the /sbin/ifconfig location, where is it stored and how do i get it to work?

you can type ifconfig as a command at prompt in console session.

It still dint work for me, i cant seem to connect to this - http://<your site domain OR IP Address>/

Hi, I am having trouble as well. I installed the appliance (booted directly from the ISO) in an Oracle's VM VirtualBox. I've typed /sbin/ifconfig, then I get 2 IP adresses: 10.0.2.15 for the "Link encap: Ethernet" and 127.0.0.1 for the "Link encap: Local Loopback". I've typed both of them in my browser, in my Windows (no virtual machine, am I doing here something wrong?), but it does not establish any connection.

@athspat, I would be glad if you could provide me with step-by-step instructions/pictures, after the installation was succesful.
