Hi,
migrationuser
Hi,
I just downloaded and started to test the Cyn.in community edition and I think is a great tool and I would like to use it to collaborate with he rest of my colleagues.
Currently I'm running with one problem. The default listening port for the web interface is port 80, for HTML, unfortunately I already have an application running on that port so I need to change this port for Cyn.in.
I tried to check the network settings in Cyn.in admin area but couldn't find any place where I could change this setting.
Do you know how can I change the default listening port so instead of accessing to the log on screen using http://www.mydomain.com I can use http://www.mydomain.com:8081 (or something else)
Any other suggestion that I could use will be great appreciated.
Thanks.
Francisco.

We would love to hear what you are using Cyn.in for.
Particularly:
1. What's your use case? Cyn.in can be used in several different ways, and we love to hear feedback. Constantly listening helps us help you by improving the product with every iteration.
2. What features / functionality / parts do you *really* like? What would you like to see more of, or where do you think we should go deeper?

Hi,

Hi,
This is a unique problem which i am facing. I am an absolute novice in the matter of server maintainence,
I am trying to do a backup and restore for the Cyn.in site. Now I have done it 1 time when it was successful. But now I am facing issues. When making the installation the server was taking an IP (say 192.168.0.7) which it took when the first time I configured it. But on subsequent installation it took some other IP(say 192.168.0.8). I changed the IP from 8 to 7 and copied the backup copy of the Data.fs file to /home/cynin/buildout/var/filestorage. And tried to login. But the login page itself isn't coming. The login page says
Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /acl_users/credentials_cookie_auth/require_login.
Reason: Error reading from remote server
Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny4 with Suhosin-Patch mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.0 Server at 192.168.0.109 Port 80
I tried restarting the apache. I don't know how to restart the apache or the zope instance for that matter. I am complete novice for those matters :(. Can somebody give me a link or something, which has some info regarding the same?

I seem to have developed a phantom user.
If I click on my People Directory I have a person called 'Lending'
If I click the person the little box pops up with a heading of 'Name not set'. The username is Lending. When I click Full User Profile an error page displays the Exception Type is 'TransversalError and the Exception Value is (None, 'fullname')
Opening up User Management via Control Panel reveals that I do not have a user called 'Lending' I do however have a group in my Active Directory called Lending but I don't think it is related to my AD group because if I disable all functionality on the Plone Active Directory plugin, all my users except for siteadmin and the phantom 'Lending' vanish.
If I try to create a user in cyn.in with a User Name of lending cyn.in tells me they already exist.
Help......please.

Checkin and file names
I have a situation where I link to a file in a wiki. Now people check out the file and check it back in. The only way I can get a check in to work is to replace the existing file. In the process the file name has changed. Windows has added the 'filename(2)' i.e. the unique number to the file name and a new baseline is created. I cannot get the checkin to work without replacing the existing file, is there a way to do it?

Deleting status messages? Out-dated documentation?
Hello everyone!
We need to be able to delete status messages, so I surfed through the documentation and found an answer....however the instructions refer to options that are not available, or perhaps are not clear?
If I click on a user profile through "View Full Profile' or in the admin panel, I don't see any options for 'Contents View" anywhere... am I missing something?
This is what I am trying to do:
Answer:
Admins can delete Status Updates by going into the contents view of the messages. Please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the profile of the user whose Status message you wish to delete
2. Click on the Contents view
3. Select the status messages you wish to delete by checking the check boxes next to the status message.
4. Click on the Delete button at the bottom
