Simplify URLs provided in emails would be a plus. Some mail clients are cropping or mis-interpreting that loooooooooong URL, making an error on the web site when the user log in.
Using a simple mechanism à-la tinyurl would be nice, proposed as an option.

Ouch, I just noticed the worst part : discussions should NOT be fully used as the URL of the item !

Yes, this is a known issue and will be looked at soon. The URL is actually not the full comment, it's the first 255 characters or so, actually.

As of Cyn.in release 3.1.3 discussion names in URLs are now being cropped to 80 characters. Hope this helps. :)
