From the makers of Localscope, the popular location browser app for the iPhone, comes Phlo for the Mac, the quickest way to search your favorite websites. With a few keystrokes, Phlo lets you jump right to the search results for anything that you need to lookup on a site of your choice. With the power to customize preferred sites or search engines to search from, Phlo ensures that there are fewer steps for the user between having a question and getting an answer.

4th April 2013 - Mumbai, India - Cynapse is proud to announce the global availability of its newest app Phlo, for the Mac, the quickest way to search your favorite websites. Phlo is designed to make it quick and easy for users to lookup what they want directly on a website of their choice with just a few keystrokes.

Phlo can be summoned with a configurable global hotkey from anywhere on the mac. To search, a user simply has to type the search phrase and then hit Tab to choose the website that they'd like to search in. Phlo quickly filters the websites and search engines as the user types and automatically bubbles up the most used sites. For example, a user can type "The Hobbit" and then choose the site "IMDb" to search from and the results will be displayed on their default web browser.

Phlo provides an efficient way to gain insight or do research on any topic for power users. With the option to use keyboard shortcuts, Phlo can save many precious seconds that can have a great impact on the researcher's workflow. Phlo further simplifies internet research by letting users search in multiple sites at once using simple keyboard shortcuts.

"Searching the web has become a natural behavior of people. More often than not, people search in familiar websites or search engines like Google, Linkedin, Yelp, Gmail or Ebay. We designed Phlo to be a nifty app that skips the overhead of switching to a browser, loading the homepage of the desired website, and then searching there. Instead it directly presents users with the results on their favorite site." said Dhiraj Gupta, CTO, Cynapse. "Its a super-charged web search box for your Mac!", he added.

Phlo gives users a running start with a great set of default search engines and websites, including Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, Google search and many more. But Phlo is not limited to the pre-installed sites as it packs a nifty interface to add and manage websites to search with.

In its newest version update v3.2, Localscope partners with 6 of the top regional location services including Qype, Baidu, 2GIS, Yellow Pages Australia, Zomato and ParkMe enabling users to find restaurants, local businesses or even parking spaces around them. The new version also introduces integration with 5 more navigation sources to help users get turn-by-turn directions to a location discovered within Localscope.

25th Feb 2013 - Mumbai, India - Cynapse is thrilled to announce v3.2 of Localscope, an update that endeavors to provide users across the world with the ability to search for local content that is more relevant to them. Since 2010, the quintessential location browser app for the iPhone has helped users explore their surroundings from 16 diverse services, in 21 languages. With the new version, Localscope is further bridging geographical and cultural barriers by introducing regional information services to address the local search needs of users that are sometimes overlooked by global services. The regional services added are: Baidu, 2GIS, Qype, Yellow Pages Australia, Zomato and ParkMe.

Localscope's broad language support has resulted in a widespread global audience with local needs. With a growing audience in China, the addition of Baidu, their leading search engine, will help Localscope's Chinese users search for local places or businesses applicable to their region. Localscope's Russian users can search for localized information using the popular local business directory, 2GIS, that covers over 200 Russian and Ukrainian cities. European and South American users too have a reason to be happy; with Qype as a source, they have access to the largest reviews service to explore new local restaurants, places and businesses.

Yellow Pages Australia by Sensis, which has a large local database of businesses has also been integrated, making it a great source for Australian users to find what they need. Zomato, a popular service in India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Qatar and UK for restaurants reviews, will empower Localscope users in these regions to discover new restaurants or search by a choice of cuisines.

"As we took off our journey with Localscope, we were aware that to make the experience truly local for users world over, we had to localize the app. Translating the app in 21 languages was a start and it helped our users immensely. Baidu, Qype, 2GIS, Yellow Pages Australia and Zomato are some of the best local services in their regions and with the support of these partnerships, our users will be able to take advantage of the wealth of local information provided by them.", said Viraf Sarkari, COO, Cynapse."

Localscope v3.2 further joins the dots between geo social search and navigation for users in these regions by introducing 5 new navigation app integrations, including: Yandex Navigator, Skobbler, Baidu Maps App, AMap by AutoNavi and The Transit App.

Another big integration in v3.2 is the addition of ParkMe as a service within Localscope. A unique service, ParkMe helps users find the cheapest daily and monthly parking spaces across 29 countries including the US, Canada, Europe & Australia. When at a new location or planning a visit to one, Localscope users can access ParkMe's parking database to find a suitable spot around the area.

The new version has improved Wikipedia results, now enriched with photos related to the local articles. Wikipedia results are now localized to 18 languages, so users can find articles around their location in their preferred language.

Baidu and Qype integrations along with the Baidu Maps integration are available for free in Localscope. The remaining new services and integrations are available via Localscope Premium.

In its newest version update, Localscope integrates with the iOS Reminders system to let users set location based reminders at any discovered location to receive proximity based push notifications. Localscope v3 also aggregates and presents all location based reminders from the Reminders app as search and discovery sources allowing the consumption of reminders and todos in a novel geographic perspective. The new version is completely re-engineered around the new iOS6 and integrates with the new Apple Maps app allowing users to send location points found using any of the services in Localscope to the Apple Maps app.
