Cyn.in setup and administration guide

Manage Users

Add user(s) to your cyn.in site

To add users to your cyn.in site follow the below mentioned steps.

  1. Login using site administrator privileges and click on the Administration tab in the left navigation panel and then click on "User Management". User Management Overview will be presented.
  2. User Management
  3. On the "User Management Overview" page click on the "Add New User" button, User Registration Form will be presented
  4. User Management Overview
  5. Fill in the user details on the User Registration Form and click on "Save".
  6. User Registration Form

Upon successful operation an invitation mail will be sent to the user inorder to activate account and set its password.

Warning : The cyn.in user management system works on an invitation basis, please confiure "Mail Settings" before adding users.

Delete user(s) from your cyn.in site

To delete user(s) from your cyn.in site follow the below mentioned steps.

  1. Login using site administrator privileges and click on the Administration tab in the left navigation panel and then click on "User Management". User Management Overview will be presented.
  2. User Management
    User Management Overview
  3. On the "User Management Overview" page click on the "Show All" button or do a User Search this will return a list of user(s).
  4. User List
  5. Select "Delete User" for the user that needs to be removed and then click on "Apply Changes"
  6. Delete User

Reset user(s) password

To reset password of the users of your cyn.in site follow the below mentioned steps.

  1. Login using site administrator privileges and click on the Administration tab in the left navigation panel and then click on "User Management". User Management Overview will be presented.
  2. User Management
    User Management Overview
  3. On the "User Management Overview" page click on the "Show All" button or do a User Search this will return a list of user(s).
  4. User List
  5. Select "Reset Password" for the user that needs the password to be reset and then click on "Apply Changes"
  6. Reset Password

Upon successful operation an invitation mail will be sent to the user inorder to reset its password.

Manage Groups Memberships for Users

Assign group membership to users

To assign group membership to the users of your cyn.in site follow the below mentioned steps.

  1. Login using site administrator privileges and click on the Administration tab in the left navigation panel and then click on "User Management". User Management Overview will be presented.
  2. User Management
  3. On the "User Management Overview" page click on the "Show All" button or do a User Search this will return a list of user(s).
  4. User List
  5. Click on the username in "User Name" column, this will present "User Properties" options.
  6. User Properties
  7. Click on "Group Memberships", this will present "Group Memberships" for the selected user.
  8. User Group Membership
  9. On the "Group Memberships" page do a Group Search this will return a list of group(s)
  10. Select the check-box for the group(s) that needs to be assigned then click "Add user to select group"

Remove group membership of users

To remove group membership of the users of your cyn.in site follow the below mentioned steps.

  1. Login using site administrator privileges and click on the Administration tab in the left navigation panel and then click on "User Management". User Management Overview will be presented.
  2. User Management
  3. On the "User Management Overview" page click on the "Show All" button or do a User Search this will return a list of user(s).
  4. User List
  5. Click on the username in "User Name" column, this will present "User Properties" options.
  6. User Properties
  7. Click on "Group Memberships", this will present "Group Memberships" for the selected user.
  8. User Group Membership
  9. Select the check-box for the group(s) that needs to be removed from the user membership then click "Remove selected groups"
